Bryan Bowman - Drums

Born in Los Angeles, and raised in Chico California, Bryan was surrounded by music from an early age. His Father Robert is a classical pianist and music professor at Chico State University and his mother, a psychologist by trade, plays the cello and is a folk dancer.

These influences guided his musical journey toward the study of not only the drumset and piano , but of North Indian classical drumming and vocal music as well. He finds a consistent source of inspiration in the folk music of Bulgaria and Macedonia.

Bryan studied music formally at The Berklee College of Music in Boston, CSU Long Beach and CSU Chico. He is currently a free lance performer and composer in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Bryan's compositions on the Loose Wig CD

Mars Passing - I wrote this for my uncle Phil just after he died in August of 2004. He loved astronomy and Mars happened to be passing by at the same time to pick up her dear friend.

Like Minds - This song was inspired by Ellie Hughes, with whom who I've always felt a kinship of sick and funny thoughts.
